There are two types of hard {{first_name | Friend}}.

Discipline.
And regret.

Discipline is uncomfortable in the moment.

Getting up earlier. Saying no. Doing the work.

Regret is quiet at first.

But it builds.

Missed opportunities.
Things you didn’t try.
Paths you didn’t take.

And over time, it gets heavier.

The truth is, you don’t consciously avoid hard.

You choose which version you’re willing to live with.

And in the second half of life, that choice becomes more obvious.

Because time feels different now.

It’s more valuable. More limited. More real.

So the question isn’t:

“Do I want this to be hard?”

It’s:

“Which hard am I willing to accept?”

And that’s how the second half gets built with intention.
